SERENITY WELFARE CENTRE

Serenity the welfare center of the trust is engaged in mitigating the sufferings of the poor and needy. Welfare activities are undertaken irrespective of caste, creed or religious consideration based on the siddha doctrine of equality of mankind. The aim is to reach out to all sections of humanity to alleviate pain and want.

SERENITY TODAY

Economically backward

1. The poor: Serenity provides nutritious and wholesome food daily for 100 people.

2. Children: Serenity provides fresh nutritious milk every Sunday to around 200 to 300 children from its own dairy farm.

3. Medical: Serenity is engaged in providing free medical assistance and aid to people in and around Madambakkam Village. Dedicated doctors looks after the patients and free medicines are provided on the spot. Serenity is supplying ozonized water to the pilgrims visiting Universal temple.

4. The Infirm: Serenity regularly distributes clothing and blankets to children and the
aged during special days like Gandhi Jayanthi , Christmas, etc.

5. Free Legal Aid: A Top-Class legal firm associated with "SERENITY" provides
free legal aid for the needy in Madambakkam .

PROJECTS ON HAND

Hospital: Serenity plans to set up a round the clock medical unit, a 30 bedded hospital catering mainly to the economically backward. The aim-to provide quality medical aid to the common man.

Old Age Home: A residential facility for the aged and infirm is a priority project for Serenity. A space where old persons are allowed to live out their life in peace and dignity, a must in times of nuclear families where the old tend to be neglected.

Herbal Garden: To make available to humanity the ancient siddha wisdom in medical care, serenity will develop herbal gardens to preserve rare herbs and to prepare the needed medicines. This treatment, to be made available free of cost, will help cure hitherto incurable ailments.

Education: Again a priority area for Serenity. Fees and educational material will be provided to hard working students from economically backward communities.

Employment: Rehabilitation of destitute women will be undertaken by Serenity, providing them with a means to livelihood and empowering them to take control of their lives.
